Smoking and Your Weight
July 3rd, 2008 By sambriones in Health Tips, Weight LossSmoking is bad for you. We all now that. Yet, many smokers don’t want to quit. Why? Because they believe that quitting will put on even more unwanted weight.
While it is true that nicotine curbs the appetite somewhat and burns calories, the bad effects definitely outweigh the good. Smoking compromises your lung capacity to take I air, so you can’t exercise for long before you feel out of breath.
Smoking also puts people at risk for many health complications like cardiovascular diseases, emphysema and cancer.
It really isn’t worth the few calories you lose. To live longer and healthier, you need to stop smoking now!
