People say it’s normal, but it doesn’t make it any less painful or annoying. Most of us end up gaining weight when we start our first jobs. Maybe it’s because this is the age when our metabolism starts slowing down a little. Maybe it’s also because most of us end up tied to a desk all day, a far cry from all the walking and running we used to do to get to class after class after class.

1.    Eat breakfast- It’s the most important meal of the day. It kick-starts your metabolism and keeps you full so you don’t automatically reach for that sugary snack!
2.    Don’t go with the flow- While it is vital to keep harmonious relationships at work, there are some things to draw the line at. Don’t go with the flow when the officemates are ordering from some high calories take out for lunch. Strengthen your resolve and stay true to the healthy lunch that you brown bagged!
3.    Use the communal fridge to your full advantage- Instead of stocking fatty things, use your space y stocking yummy, healthy and low calorie food options. Some fresh fruit, low fat milk, string cheese and low fat yoghurt are good options.
