The Low Residue Diet
May 14th, 2008 By sambriones in Diets Reviewed, Health Tips, Weight LossThis diet is a special one: low in fiber and high in other dietary elements. The low residue diet was created to prepare for certain medical procedures, as well as to help cure health problems. Here’s how it works:
All the food that’s allowed have to be low in fiber. You can take in white bread, well cooked meat, poultry, fish, white rice and refined pasta. Vegetables which are high in fiber, cannot be taken directly, but may be taken in the form of soups. Fruits without their pulps can also be included in the low residue diet. Dairy products can be consumed as well.
When you subscribe to this diet, you’ll be expected to lose weight too! Has anyone ever tried this? What are your thoughts on the low residue diet?
